Our studio

We build the lesson — not the credential.

EduSpark Inc. is a Canadian AI-for-education services firm headquartered at 180 John Street in Toronto. We are a learning-design and content studio — not an accredited school, not a degree provider, not a self-serve course platform, and not an essay-writing service. Human educators stay in the loop on every project.

Where we work

John Street, Queen West — Toronto.

Our studio sits on John Street between Queen Street West and Adelaide, in a building that has housed creative and professional services firms for decades. The neighbourhood matters to how we work: we are surrounded by galleries, design studios, post-secondary institutions and the daily rhythm of a city that takes education seriously. Clients visit for discovery sessions, review workshops and train-the-trainer days. Remote collaboration is standard for national engagements, but the physical studio anchors our practice — whiteboards, curriculum boards, printed proofs and the kind of face-to-face critique that video calls approximate but rarely replace.

We serve education organizations across Canada from this base. Time zone alignment with Eastern hours keeps project communication predictable for most Canadian clients. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 09:00–17:00 ET.

How we formed

From classroom frustration to design practice.

EduSpark began when a group of instructional designers, assessment specialists and former teachers kept encountering the same failure mode: programmes that looked complete on paper but could not answer the question "what will learners be able to do?" Assessment instruments measured recall when they were meant to measure judgment. AI tools arrived in classrooms faster than governance frameworks could follow. The studio was built to close that gap — practical design capability with responsible-AI discipline baked in from the start.

We incorporated in Ontario as EduSpark Inc. The ".pro" domain and "Co" in our name are branding choices. "Spark" is a metaphor for the moment understanding clicks — not a claim of accreditation, certification or official status of any kind.

Team approach

Small core, specialist network, educator accountability.

Our core team covers instructional design, learning science, assessment design, LX architecture and responsible-AI governance. For each engagement we assemble subject-matter experts matched to your domain — healthcare, trades, business, humanities, STEM, corporate compliance and more. The model is deliberate: we stay small enough to be accountable, large enough through our network to handle complex programmes.

Every project has a named lead designer, a review gate schedule and a client-side approver identified before production begins. AI assists drafting at multiple stages — outcome language, content outlines, rubric text, scenario variations. Nothing reaches learners without educator sign-off. That is not a marketing line; it is written into our contracts as a deliverable condition.

We document our work so your team can maintain it. Style guides, governance packs, facilitator handbooks and LMS maintenance notes are standard deliverables — not optional extras. Dependency on external consultants should be a choice, not a trap.

Responsible AI

Governance is a design requirement.

AI in education fails when it is treated as a content vending machine. Models hallucinate. They reproduce bias. They cannot be left alone with student data — especially data about minors. EduSpark's responsible-AI practice runs through every discipline: privacy-by-design under PIPEDA, academic integrity policies, consent frameworks, vendor evaluation criteria and incident response protocols.

We help clients decide which tools belong in which contexts, what data may flow where, and how to log AI-assisted outputs for audit. When a school board, college or employer asks "should we use this?", we answer with a risk framework — not a sales pitch for the latest model.

We do not replace teachers, trainers or faculty. We do not advocate for fully automated instruction. AI supports human educators who remain accountable for what learners experience. That position is non-negotiable in our practice.

What we are not

Clarifications clients ask for early.

Not an accredited school. EduSpark does not grant degrees, diplomas, credits or certifications. We design learning experiences; awarding institutions retain that authority.

Not an essay or assignment service. We do not write student papers, complete homework, take exams or provide any service that undermines academic integrity.

Not a self-serve platform. We are a consultancy with scoped engagements — not a marketplace where anyone uploads a course and walks away.

Not an outcome guarantor. We do not promise better grades, admissions, scholarships, jobs or salaries. Our work is design and content production with educator review — results depend on implementation, teaching quality and learner effort.
